Welcome to the shillingstone railway project

If you're a regular visitor to our website or even an occasional browser, you'll notice a few changes going on here! We've taken the opportunity to give the site a facelift, making navigating and perusing our pages a simpler, more enjoyable experience. This is the first page of not only a nostalgic journey back through time to the Shillingstone Station of the 1950's, but also a résumé of the various projects' current status, our future goals and aspirations. In our effort to develop the Railway Project we are indebted to volunteers who give their time freely. We also offer you the opportunity to support us in our quest to recreate the wonderful ambience of the railway of the 1950's either by joining the on site volunteer team or kindly giving your financial assistance by becoming a member of the trust or by means of donations.

Although we are sure you will be delighted by this virtual tour of our beautifully restored station, be sure also to come and visit us soon! With its well-stocked shop, new café, model railway, museum and period signal box, all set before a stunning rural Dorset backdrop, you will find plenty to interest the whole family here!

We look forward to to welcoming you!
