Regular visitors to the website will immediately spot that we’ve a fresh new look. We were very much aware that the previous pages needed updating so we’ve taken the opportunity to give the whole site a facelift. We hope you will agree that the new layout makes it easier to navigate the site and provides a more enjoyable experience when browsing through the updated content.
Of course, there are still a few pages that are not yet complete but we will be filling in the gaps over the coming months. Please be patient with us! What we can offer you now in the pages that follow is a comrehensive description of what the Project is trying to achieve, our goals for the future and the progress we are making towards meeting them. You can also find out how you can help us with our work, both by offering your services at the site and by giving us financial support through donations and membership.
So enjoy your virtual tour but remember, the Shillingstone Project is a great place to visit so come and see us in person. You don’t have to be a dedicated railway nut; there’s something to interest all the family with a shop, museum, light refreshments, model railway and, of course, our beautifully restored station that recreates an age when steam was king.
We look forward to to seeing you at the station.
