Retail therapy at the station

Fully refurbished and re-fitted for 2017, Shillingstone station's shop is a veritable treasure trove of all things railway.  Not just trains either, the retail area keeps a range of merchandise from sweatshirts to jigsaws, greetings cards to posters, prints and tea towels.

There's something to delight all the family and, of course the shop has a wide selection of Bachmann models in HO and N gauges, including the unique set of Shillingstone station buildings.  These are now only available through the NDRT shop so get yours now, while stocks last.  When they're gone, they're GONE.

As well as all the new items, the shop keeps a huge selection of second-hand books, magazines, videos and other items, all in good condition.  The open fires in winter keep the shop cosy and ideal to browse before making those all important purchases!

So support your local retailer and visit Shillingstone station's railway emporium.  All profits are ploughed back into the restoration project.

Some light refreshment before you go?

After a good shopping session, you’ll be needing some sustenance and where better (or closer) to go than our very own station café.

Here, you can settle down and enjoy a tea, coffee or hot chocolate with cake and biscuits. There is always a good selection of filled rolls and pasties at lunchtime plus delicious, locally made soup. For the warmer weather, there are cold drinks, crisps, ice cream and sweets to keep you going if you’re planning a ramble along the Trailway afterwards.
According to season and your own tolerance of the cold, you can eat in the café, in the buffet coach or al fresco on one of the many picnic tables on the platform. And if you’ve brought the family dog with you, there is always a bowl or two of water for steamed up pooches and we can generally find a doggy treat for well behaved canines !
