Coat of Arms
By the 1980s, the line had been unused for twenty years or so and the result was a scene of sadness.  The buildings were used for a varierty of non-railway purposes and Mother Nature was reclaiming the track-bed and surrounding area as these pictures show.
From the 1990s to the early years of the twenty first century, very little happened at Shillingstone station.  The buildings remained in use but unloved which led to their deterioration.  This explains why so few pictures exist from this period but if you have any that you would like to see included in this section, please click on the image below for details of how you can help us complete the picture.

Things began to happen after the millennium and although progress was slow to begin with, Shillingstone station was gradually put back together with the care and perseverance of a small band of pioneer helpers.  The result of their work is clear to see from the photographs in this section.
